Some of the sessions apply to more than one subject area and there is no limit to how many you are able to access.

Zentangling | Zentangling A Zentangle is an easy to learn form of meditative drawing or doodling and is all about creating patterns with simple dots, lines, curves, orbs, etc. Throughout this session we will learn the benefits of Zentangling and then practice at least 3 designs, we will then implement these designs onto an outline of a shape or animal to create a final picture. | Wellbeing |
Mental Health Advocacy | You’ve probably heard the term “independent mental health advocate” but do you know what it actually is? These sessions will define what an independent mental health advocate is and in what instances would you require or request one within inpatient services (mental health hospital ward). We will then learn what an advocate could do for you and the different people and roles that can become your mental health advocate alongside discussing the benefits of having a mental health advocate. Lastly, the sessions will end by talking about how to access a mental health advocacy and the alternative options for one with the scenarios where you would or would not require an advocate and then what barriers you may encounter and some case studies | Wellbeing |
The Happy Edit | We are consuming more news, however with negative news being highly accessible it’s important to look after our individual wellbeing. Constant negative news can impact your mental and psychical wellbeing causing lack of motivation and increase personal anxieties. Therefore, it is important to try and counteract the negativity of bad news as positive stories can offer great health benefits and hopeful mood adjustments. This session is split into 2, and covers the impact of negative news on wellbeing, doom scrolling and social media effects before moving on to discuss happy news with examples and management tips to combat negative media. Wellbeing, hope and opportunities are at the heart of the sessions we deliver where sharing stories is recognized as a beneficial wellbeing opportunity. | Choice/Hope |
Steps to calmer days | Understanding what calm means to you is an individual journey and can be beneficial during stressful or anxiety provoking situations. It can be hard to find a level of calm when we feel overwhelmed however this session will discuss how we can begin to take steps to our calmer days. This session will cover what may be causing you concern, look at breaking any negative thinking cycles and how we can use some grounding techniques. We will also explore some breathing exercises and cover what calmer days means to you. Challenging Unhelpful Thoughts | This session will focus on the different unhelpful thoughts we have and the cognitive model of how they might arise. Secondly, we will look at how to identify unhelpful thoughts and how they impact our lives. To finish the session you will work through a case study to practice identifying the types of unhelpful thoughts we’ve looked at so you can apply this to your own life. Throughout the session it is encouraged to share your own opinions and stories. | Choice/Self Perception |
